Green bay and turtle
Joining Wanderlast Travel’s Turtle Bay Tour was the best decision I made on my East Java trip. Teluk Ijo (Green Bay), our first stop, was a pristine cove with emerald water and soft, powdery sand. It felt almost untouched. Our guide, Eka, arranged for a short hike down to the bay, where we swam and picnicked in a shaded spot. Then came the unforgettable part Sukamade Beach. The drive was bumpy but scenic, and Eka made it comfortable with music, conversation, and even local snacks. At night, we joined park rangers for turtle watching. Seeing a giant sea turtle emerge from the waves was surreal. Eka’s respectful guidance ensured we didn’t disturb the animals. The accommodations were simple but cozy a necessary compromise for such an authentic nature experience.
Sea Turtle in Sukamade
Sukamade Beach is where time seems to pause and thanks to Wanderlast Travel, I was lucky enough to witness one of nature’s purest moments: sea turtles laying eggs under the moonlight. Our guide, Rino, was phenomenal not only did he brief us on conservation ethics and local turtle protection efforts, but he also made the rugged 4WD journey through the forest comfortable and fun. The beach at night was peaceful and humbling. We waited patiently under a starlit sky before a ranger guided us quietly to observe a female turtle nesting. I’ll never forget how gentle the moment felt. The following morning, we released baby hatchlings into the ocean a joyful, emotional experience that nearly brought me to tears. This wasn’t just tourism; it felt like participation in something meaningful.
Baluran’s Natural Beauty
Baluran was a dream I didn’t know I had and Wanderlast Travel made it come true. The early morning drive was comfortable, and our guide, Lila, was warm, funny, and super informative. From the viewpoint overlooking the savannah to spotting monkeys near the mangroves, she made the experience interactive and engaging. The “little Africa” nickname is no exaggeration the scenery was stunning and incredibly photogenic. We had time to explore both the forest trails and the beach, and never felt rushed. I’m so glad I chose this tour everything was thoughtfully arranged.
Africa in Java
Visiting Baluran National Park with Wanderlast Travel was an absolute treat. I had no idea such a place existed in Java wide savannahs, wild deer, and even peacocks roaming freely! It truly felt like a slice of Africa. The guide he shared a lot about the local ecosystem and knew all the best spots for wildlife watching and photos. The trip was well-paced, and I especially enjoyed the quiet beauty of Bama Beach, where we relaxed and had lunch under the trees. The team made sure everything was stress-free and smooth.
Perfect Ijen Moment
This trip to Mount Ijen with Wanderlast Travel was perfectly organized. There were three of us, and it felt like a private, personalized experience.
